Norway is the Ultimate Dream Destination: Here's Why
If money was not a problem, where would you want to find yourself going? Is there a certain destination that you have always wanted to visit, but never had the means to get there? I was recently asked to answer these questions. It became very difficult to decide on where to go because of all the places in the world to choose from. In the end, I had to stick to my love for mountains and snow terrain landscapes.

Norway has always been on my list of places to go since I was a teenager. All of the pictures and videos of the country reminded me of the Western part of the United States which is my favorite place to be. It's no wonder I couldn't resist picking this region of the globe. There are a variety of activities to do, foods to eat, and landmarks to visit. Let's check out some of the options that would definitely be on my to-do list.
So Much to Do, So Much to See
Much of Norway is famous for its history, geological landscape, and delicious delicacies. Learning about the Viking culture would be one of the tops things to do on my list. According to the Visit Norway website, there are "brand-new Viking experience centres filled with cutting-edge technology." This would be exciting to see as well as exploring the many cities that they once inhabited.
Along with learning about the history of the Vikings, here are a few more items on my list that would make the trip unforgettable.
- Visit the Urnes Stave Church

| Breathtaking views of Naeroyfjord |
The Nærøyfjord
This fjord is an 11-mile stretch of magnificent views and a winding river. Waterfalls rushing down the sides of the mountains are present. When traveling down the river, small farms and villages can be seen. It is truly something right out of a fairy tale scene.

Urnes Stave Church
This church is one of the oldest wooden structures in the world that is still standing today. For being built around 1140, it is still in good condition and has tours available daily.
It Was Only Just a Dream
As much as I wish I could afford a trip to Norway right now, the idea will have to be put off for the time being. That doesn't mean that I should give up hope in finding myself being immersed in Norweigan culture someday. The same goes for you. It may take years to save up the money, but if you truly want to go to a place that is your number one destination, you can make it happen. Let me know where that dream destination is because I would love to hear it.
Hi Chad,
ReplyDeleteNice job writing this blog post. The blue color that you used in the text complements the colors in the photos you included. The photos you used enhanced the reading experience for me. Great visuals. You broke up the content nicely with the three sections. It might be helpful for other readers if you break it up even more or include more white space! Nice job!
