3 Reasons Hong Kong is a Must for your Bucket List

Seventeen years ago, I had the opportunity to go to China. We stayed one week in Hong Kong and six weeks in mainland China. I will never forget stepping off the plane; we landed during a typhoon and had to go to our hotel right away. As we drove through the city, I was amazed by the magnitude of Hong Kong. The next day people were out and about as nothing had ever happened; the smells of street food, salt from the ocean, and city sounds all came together in a symphony of humanity that I can only describe as amazing.

.1 The Sites

From the city structures to open-air buses, you will not see anything like this. The city will leave you breathless, with so many colors and a variety of sites to see like Victoria Peak, you will find yourself with an abundant amount of things to explore. Check out Tripadvisore for a list of great places to see.

.2 The Food

If you're like me, you judge the place by the food. If you like seafood, this is the place to be everything from fresh calamari to shrimp that will blow your mind. If you are less adventurous, there are many western restaurants like McDonald's and Pizza Hut but come on; I know you want to try something new. I can promise you one thing, that money can not buy you happiness, but it can buy you memories that will last a lifetime. Hong Kong is a great place to make memories; you instantly feel like you belong there. The people are so kind and friendly, places are vibrant, and the food well that's something you will have to find out for yourself.

So if I have already been there, why go back? Hong Kong is so big with 7.4 million people living there and a tourist seen that keeps growing you could spend a whole year there and not see everything. But mostly, it's the city itself; it feels alive and inviting, the smells, sites, and people are some of the most amazing things you can experience in your lifetime and something not to be missed out on. So what about you? Are you willing to miss out or...

  1. Hi Robert! I liked the pop of color you put in your blog along with the images you selected. The numbered bullets also helped me follow along with your writing.

  2. Hi Robert! I love your use of photos! They are set on the sides of the page and it really draws the reader's eyes throughout your copy. I like that you made your links different colors, so they stood out to the reader as something important to click. Great job giving photo credit where it is due! My one comment would be on your font size. I think it is too big for the body paragraphs. Otherwise, great job!!
