1. The Northern Lights

Alaska is the perfect place to see the northern lights. If you travel over to Fairbanks, which is in central Alaska. The best time to see the northern lights is between August and April when less daylight leads to darker night skies. This works out perfect for college students, who have more time on their hands during the summer break.
2. The Wildlife

If you ever ask anyone who has been to Alaska about the wildlife, they wouldn't be able to remember all of the wildlife that they saw. Even during the day while traveling around Alaska you will always see some sort of animal. You can see anything from bears, moose, eagles, and wolves, to wolverines, foxes, river otters, and beavers. It's amazing to see these types of animals in the Alaskan wilderness, it's much more interesting and fun to see them out in the wild versus at a zoo, you can learn so much more.
3. Fishing Opportunities

This one is for travelers that love to fish. Alaska is a perfect place to go. There are plenty of choices of different types of fishing that you can choose from. You can fish off the dock somewhere or even go out on a charter boat and having a tour guide fish with you. The opportunities are endless and so are the different types of fish to catch. Some of the main fish you can reel in are King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Pink Salmon, Northern Pike, and Rainbow Trout. Catching these types of fish is a whole new experience you will never forget.
4. Never-Ending Adventure

Traveling is all about adventure and seeing new things right? Alaska has more adventures than you can dream of. From touring glaciers to white water rafting and hiking in the mountains, you will never be bored. This is a dream come true for people who love the outdoors and nature. It will make you never want to return home.
